Antique Log Home & 5.10 Acres

AT: 650 PLEASANT PINE DRIVE, MAX MEADOWS, VA 24360

AUCTION DATE:  FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2017 AT NOON

OPEN HOUSE:  SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2017, 2-3 PM

Partially reconstructed log home circa 1850.  The structure is a 16 feet by 46 feet two story log home.  The logs of this home are oak and poplar hand hewn logs and originally came from two homes in Eastern Kentucky.  The logs have been reassembled to make a two bedroom, two bath home.  Other features include a large living area, large kitchen, newly constructed roof, two sandstone chimneys, and wood floors (some original from the 1800s).  The log home is sitting on a poured concrete basement foundation with walk-out level access.  The electric wiring has been partially installed and is about 80% complete.  The plumbing for the bathrooms has been roughed in.  Buyer could finish construction on this home where it sits, or disassemble the logs and move them to another location to finish this project.  The land consists of 5.10 acres, mostly wooded, in a private setting, but only two miles to I-81.  Situated at a dead-end street with no through traffic, acreage would make an ideal home site, vacation property, or recreational land.  The log home and the land will be sold separate and then combined, offering potential buyers multiple options in purchasing this property.
